About

Megan Krzmarzick is a visual artist, writer, and 2x cancer survivor (currently healing from a second stem cell transplant) with ten years of advertising and marketing experience, a museum studies degree, and a small rescued pup to her name. She lives and works in Portland, Oregon. Her bold and dramatic use of color and texture gives form to feeling, capturing deep and resonate emotion and energy, exploring themes of creative identity and healing. She is the author of a hand-painted poetry zine “Running Away from Home," a small press publication sometimes carried at Powell’s Books.
Megan has shown her work at Divine PDX, Presso, Backtalk PDX, Blackbird Wine Shop, at Blanc Space in Portland as part of a multi-disciplinary show on identity, live painting at events including one at Swift Agency, and as a performer at the Future Prairie Queer Variety Show. Her first solo show was in 2019 at The Good Mod, a revered mid-century furniture house. She writes about women artists around the world on Abstract Daisies and hopes to show new work in Portland and elsewhere very soon.
